Angela Trotta Turso

Angela Turso, 90, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday October 18, 2021 at her home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. She was born on January 7, 1931 in New York, New York to the late Nicholas Trotta & Josephine Adelle Constantino Trotta. Along with her parents, Angela is reunited in passing with her siblings, Olivia Bisogno, Martha Falco, Theresa Somma, & Daniel Trotta. Angela had a zest for life, a bright smile and the kindest demeanor. Her eye for beauty brought her to work in a salon where she established lifelong friends. She also proudly worked at a candy store where she was able to indulge in her love for chocolate. However her biggest passion was taking care of others. Angie was known for her compassion and nurturing spirit and helped raise children of so many family and friends along with her own. In her free time, Angela found peace in shopping at her favorite flea markets, walking the pier with her husband, making memories with her family and friends and just having a good time. Angela showed her love through food, and relished cooking family meals, snacks and confectionary delights to share with all. “Mangia, eat!” she’d always say as she handed you a big plate of homemade food. Above all else, Angela loved her family with her whole heart. She will forever be remembered for her quick wit, vibrant personality and her large purses with questionable contents. She will be deeply missed. Left to cherish Angela’s memory are her adoring husband, Mauro Turso of Murrells Inlet; their children, Lorraine Weckerle and husband, Steven of Murrells Inlet, Thomas "Tommy" Turso and wife, Mary of NY, & Arlene Archiello and husband, Joseph of Murrells Inlet; grandchildren, Danelle Weckerle, & Dayna Weckerle (boyfriend, Jarvis Bellamy); great-grandchildren, Tyana Woodard, Taysha Woodard (boyfriend, Joey Mosakowski), Dante Woodard, Darius Woodard, & Nickolas Gianni Rogers; great-greatgrandchildren, Naomi Kai Mosakowski, Koa Peter Mosakowski, & George "Ray Ray" Raylen Herbert, IV; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors. A Funeral Mass in Celebration of Angela’s life will be held on Friday October 22, 2021 at 10:00AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Ave. Garden City, SC 29576. Burial will immediately follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Hwy 544, Conway, SC 29526. At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers.
