Bronislaw "Ben" Bernard Mleczko

Bronislaw “Ben” Bernard Mleczko, age 81, after a long and courageous battle, was called to the Lord on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, with his wife by his side. Ben was born on December 2, 1943, in Danbury, CT, to the late Bronislaw and Nathila Mleczko. Capturing the essence of a life that left an indelible mark on the world is a challenge in just a few words. Ben was kind, devoted, loving and patient. He was a man who would help anyone in need with no expectations in return. One of his proudest rolls in life was being a grandfather, which he fulfilled with great joy and love. Ben was a patriot who proudly served in the US Army from 1962 to 1964. After his service, he worked for IBM from 1964 to 1993, and was an independent Computer Consultant from 1993 to 2010. He was an avid Sportsman and especially enjoyed playing football. Ben found that photography and restoring photos gave him much pleasure, and honed those skills further upon retirement. He enjoyed sitting on his screen in porch looking at the pond, and cherished sharing these moments with his soulmate Diane. Retiring to South Carolina, Ben found he was blessed with exceptional neighbors that have become like family, something he appreciated deeply. Ben is survived by the love of his life, best friend, and wife of 33 years Diane; Stepsons Matthew Cote and his wife Kathleen of Waterbury, CT, and Christopher Cote and his wife Jacqueline of Lexington, SC; Grandchildren Logan and Victoria; Brother David Mleczko and his wife Carol of New Fairfield, CT; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Bernice Miller. His memory will linger warmly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, April 7, 2025, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. The family will receive friends at 12:00, one hour prior to the Service. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery.
