Obituary for Mrs Cecil Davis Robinson Cecil Davis Robinson, age 93, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at the residence of her son. Mrs. Robinson was born June 6, 1923 in Conway, SC, a daughter of the late Oma Benjamin and Alberta Skipper Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Samuel Earl Davis and Colonel Charles H. Robinson; a brother, Odell Benjamin Lewis; and two sisters, Bernice Jones and Mary Lee Moore. During WWII Mrs. Robinson honorably served her country by working in the secretary pool at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years as an LPN at Conway Hospital. Mrs. Robinson was an active member of First Baptist Church in Conway. At First Baptist Church, she was a member of the Dorcas Sunday school class, the B.A.L.L. club, and sang in the X.Y.Z. choir. She was also a member of the Horry County AARP; where she formerly served as an officer, and also the Iris Club. Surviving are her two sons, Randall Earl Davis and wife, Lynda of Conway, Samuel Eugene Davis also of Conway; three daughters, Sara Davis Sessions of Conway, Michelle Reed and husband, Mark of Dawsonville, GA, Connie Corkery and husband, John of San Mateo, CA; nine grandchildren, Kerry Randall Davis and wife, Lauren, Kyle Samuel Davis, Alexander Neil Sessions, Clarence Nelson Sessions, William Marcus Reed, III., Lewis Davis Reed, Alexandria Bradford Corkery, Briana Marie Davis, Samuel Eugene Davis, II.; six great-grandchildren, Skylar Christina Davis, Kyle Randall Davis, Benjamin Rivers Davis, Margaret McKenzie Davis, Anna Elizabeth Davis, William Kerry Davis; and two sisters, Mildred Brooker of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Frances Marion Clanton of Charlotte, NC. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 08, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Conway with Reverend Rocky Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service in the church parlor. Burial will be private.
