Lynda L Davis

Lynda L. Davis, age 69, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018. Born July 17, 1948 in Conway, SC, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Avant and Frances Tyler Lowrimore. Mrs. Davis was a member of First Baptist Church in Conway where she was active in the Psalms Sunday School Class, the Hostess Team, and the Congregational Care Team. She assisted with Vacation Bible School and decorating the sanctuary for the Christmas season for many years. She was also a much loved sister in the Sisters in the Son Bible Study. Lynda was a faithful servant of our God and Jesus Christ was always her guide. Lynda had always been an active citizen of the Conway and Horry County Community. She was in the Thespian Society, a member of The Fine Arts and Theater of the Republic of Conway, a member of the Ivy Garden Club of Conway, where she served as Chaplain for 10 years, and was a co-founder and continuous volunteer of the Sheppard’s Table. She was a member of The Association of County Government of SC and Procurement Association of America. She was a certified Procurement Director of County Governments. She was a Certified Interior Designer and held an Associate Degree in business. She served the Horry County Government for 33 years and as Procurement Director for 30 years. She was an awesome wife of 50 years, a loving compassionate mother of her two sons and six grandchildren. She lived her life as a selfless person, always putting others needs ahead of hers. She lived for her family and served her community with great compassion to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Lynda was extremely active in school functions, volunteering through all of the educational activities Along with her parents, Lynda was predeceased by two brothers, Terry A. Lowrimore and Michael C. Lowrimore. Surviving are her husband Randall E. Davis of Conway; two sons, Kerry R. Davis (Lauren) and their children, Margaret McKenzie, Anna Elizabeth, and William Kerry Davis all of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Kyle S. Davis and his children, Skylar Christina, Kyle Randall, and Benjamin Rivers Davis, all of Conway; and one brother, Jerry Francis Lowrimore of Conway. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 13, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Conway with Rev. Scott Johnson and Rev. Rocky Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home
