Ora leigh Beaty Elvis

Conway…… Ora Leigh Beaty Elvis, age 88, wife of the late Rev. Earl B. Elvis passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025. Mrs. Elvis was born in Conway, a daughter of the late Ernest James and Marguerite Vaught Beaty. She was a member of the Conway Church of God where she was a member of the Young at Heart class. She was a member of Horry Electric Co-op's WIRE program. Prior to retirement, she was employed by AVX for over 40 years. After retirement, she had the honor of sharing her love for baking alongside her son Kendall, who owned the Trestle Bakery at that time. Her passion to serve others was then carried out every morning serving coffee, a smile, and a kind word at the LaQuinta Inn in Myrtle Beach. She then brought joy to the Chick Fil A of Conway, where I'm sure many of you she served sweet tea or lemonade. Mrs. Elvis was a dedicated wife and loving mother and had the honor of serving alongside her husband in his ministry for over 45 years. They were married for 62 years. Surviving are: three sons, Kevin E. Elvis (Vicky) of Salem, SC, Kendall D. Elvis (Tammy) and Kimberly S. Elvis (Lynn), all of Conway; one daughter, Kayla Elvis Thompson (Mickey) of Little River, SC; fifteen grandchildren, Trenton Elvis (Laurie Gilbert), Joshua Elvis, Charles Bartley (Katie), Brandon Elvis (Christy), McCall Schools (Justin), Bryson Elvis (Jennifer), Brooke Cox, Lynsay Chandley (Brandon), Jennifer Anderson, Chase Thompson (Ashley), McClure Thompson, Chelsey Garrett (Craig), Ashley Crews, Jarrod Crews (Katy), and Myka Lee (Deb Dailey); and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday from Conway Church of God with Rev. Brett Davis, Rev. Ethan Jacobs, and Rev. Michael Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Conway Church of God from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday. Memorials may be sent to Conway Church of God, 3111 Cultra Road, Conway, SC 28526.
