Paul R Hemsing

Paul R. Hemsing, age 80, loving husband of the late Loretta “Lori” Hemsing of Conway, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Conway Medical Center with his family by his side. Born in Bronx, NY, he was a son of the late Paul and Edith (Seelbach) Hemsing, Jr. An electrician by trade, Paul owned many small businesses and rental properties for many years prior to him and Lori moving to South Carolina for their retirement years from New York, where they built a “nest” for family and friends alike. His passion, like Lori, above all else, was his family and helping others, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Loretta “Lori” Hemsing. He is survived by 2 sons: Paul “Bud” Hemsing and his wife Terri of Aynor, Michael Hemsing and his wife Elizabeth of Conway; 3 daughters: Patty Walker and her husband James of Myrtle Beach, Marnie Pino and her husband Roberto of Conway, Ruth Hebden and her husband Eric of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren: Elizabeth Sullivan and her husband Mike, Lance Ridling and his wife Christie, Paul Hemsing and his wife Ursula, Jonathan Hemsing, Amanda and Jennifer Hemsing, Michael Hemsing and his wife Alyssa, Jamie Ashworth and her husband Todd, Karey Lemon and her husband Jarrod, Ryan Walker, Michelle and Maria Pino, Kyle and Christopher Hebden; great-grand children: Bridgette, Frankie, Bella, Ethan, Conner and Cooper, Allie and Madison, Carter and Grayson, Sadie, Katie, Landon, Miles, Adira, Luca and Haley; 1 brother, Robert “Bob” Hemsing and his wife Ann of New York. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at St, Michael’s Catholic Church in Garden City with burial and Committal rites to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Conway. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM, Monday, April 1, 2019 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel with a prayer vigil to be held at 6:30 PM. Because of their love of animals, in lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to be made in Paul’s name to St. Francis Animal Center, 125 Ridge St., Georgetown, SC 29440. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
