Ronald Dwayne Ellison

Ronald Dwayne Ellison, 65, died Monday, February 09, 2015 at his residence in the care of his loving family. He was born September 8, 1949 in Cincinnati, OH, a son of Elma Hazel Farris Ellison and the late Fred and Mary Ellison. Ronald was Sr. Vice President/Owner of Gold Crown Property Management Inc. for twenty-two years. He enjoyed going to church and serving his Lord. Spending time with family and his dog, Abby, golfing, target shooting, collecting things, going to auctions and traveling were some of the things he liked to do in his spare time. Ronald will be remembered for being a loving, compassionate and devoted husband, an awesome father, a loving son, an outstanding grandfather, a brother, a friend and a mentor to the many he came in contact with. He proudly served in the US Navy for four years, because he believed what America stands for. Mr. Ellison is survived by his wife, the love of his life, of twenty-six years, Joan Tyler Ellison; three sons, Robbie Ellison (Angela) of Socastee, John Goff (Cassie) of KY and Jeremy Rabon (Holly) of Aynor; three daughters, Tabitha Strickland (Jamie) of Conway, Angie Ellison of KY and Lisa McCoy (Jimmy) of IN; one brother, James Douglas Ballinger of KY; two sisters, Kimberly Ann Mason (Larry) of TN and Wanda Anderson (Larry) of OH; three brother-in-laws, Eddie Tyler (Dianell), Johnny Tyler and Larry Tyler (Linda) all of Conway; fifteen grandchildren, Sierra Ellison, Chelsea Ellison, Destiny Goff, Dakota Goff, Tyler Rabon, Josh Rabon, Lucas Rabon, Michael Walters, Jonathan Walters, Jessie Strickland, Bailey Strickland, Kayla Strickland, Jordan Strickland, Brittany Watson and David Charles Hook; two great grandchildren, Malachi Watson and Arthur Watson and one god daughter, Ellie Victoria Masterpaul. The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Services from 6pm until 8pm Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Fountain of Life with Rev. Jerry Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Dunn officiating.
