In Loving Memory Master Sergeant Harold Whitfield Moody Jr. September 17, 1932 – November 7, 2021 Born in Darlington, SC to Harold Whitfield Moody, Sr, and Cora Byrd Moody He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Irene, three daughters Linda (Michael), Dianne (Steve), Elizabeth (Steve), and one son David (Liz); two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by many nieces and nephews. Harold, affectionately known as H.W. to family and friends, grew up in Hartsville, SC. He played football for the Hartsville Red Foxes during his high school years. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He met and married his beautiful wife, Irene in Liverpool, England. During his career he served stateside and in many countries throughout the world. Harold served in the Radar Detachment Unit and retired from the 354th Civil Engineering Squadron Myrtle Beach Air Force Base after 26 years of service. H.W. was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener. Above all his greatest devotion was to his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Lung Association or Trinity Church of Myrtle Beach. A full military service interment will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday December 4th at Hillcrest Cemetery, Conway, SC.
