Thomas Mayo Bessant, 75, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Conway Medical Center. He was born October 24, 1944 in Horry County, a son of the late Jessie Mayo and Rosie M. Watts Bessant. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Jane Holt Bessant and his son, Harry Dale Bessant. Thomas enjoyed the car Business and he worked at Palmetto Chevrolet since 1978. He was a loving husband, father and a friend to everyone. Mr. Bessant is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Sellers Bessant of the home; two step sons, Gregory Lamar Sellers and Terrill Wayne Sellers; one Brother; two Sisters; several Nieces and Nephews and many other family and friends who will miss him. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, October 9, 2020 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Allen Goodman and Frankie Edwards officiating. The Family will receive friends from 10:30 am until time of the service at the cemetery.
