Evelyn "Fran" Frances Metallo

Evelyn Frances Metallo “Fran”, 85, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at her home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. She was born on March 30, 1935 in Richlands, North Carolina to the late John Wesley Williams & Gladys Eula Humphries Williams. Along with her parents, Fran is reunited in death with her beloved husband, Joseph “Joe” Metallo; their daughter, June Metallo Foxworth; brothers, Clayton S. Williams (Frances) & Thomas Williams; sisters, Grace Sanderson (James) and Helen Kay Patrick; sons in-law, John David Flowers Jr. & Mark Sloan; as well as her brother in law, Homer Lanier and her beloved dog, Sissy. Fran was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her family was her whole world. She relished spending time with friends and making memories. Fran was a faithful woman who loved the Lord. She would never hesitate to pray with or for someone in need of heavenly guidance. She will be deeply missed but remembered for her strong faith and love for her family. Left to cherish Fran’s memory are her sons, Joseph L. Metallo of Murrells Inlet & David C. Metallo (Susan) of Myrtle Beach; her daughter, JoAnn Flowers of Murrells Inlet; sisters, Loretta Lanier of Kinston, NC, Betty Lou Lewis (Gordon) of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Alice Brown (Graham) of Wilkesboro, NC; brother-in-law, Pete Padrick of Whiteville, NC; son-in-law, Allen Foxworth of Murrells Inlet, SC; her adoring grandchildren, Frances "Frannie" (Dr. Greg) Orsimorsi, Suzanna Lyons (Adam), David Metallo, Jr. (Janice), John D. Flowers, III, Allie Hufnagel (Brandon), Dr. Sarah Metallo (Hunter Jackson) and Julie Dale Flowers; great-grandchildren, Sloan and Riley Orsimorsi, Liam, Boyd and Oliver Hufnagel, Ryder and Finley Lyons, Evelyn Metallo, Cannon Flowers and Blair and Ivy Banks. A celebration of Fran’s life will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at 4:00PM at Hillcrest Cemetery Mausoleum, 1000 Hwy 544, Conway, SC. Due to COVID-19 the family requests that social distancing be observed. The family wishes to acknowledge with heartfelt appreciation, the kindness, care and compassion shown to Fran by the staff of Heartland Hospice.
