Linda Faye Edwards

Conway….Linda Faye Martin Edwards, 77, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. If you knew and loved her, you likely heard her favorite question, "Am I right, or am I wrong?", and without hesitation, you would smile and answer, "You're right." She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Etta Martin and Jesse Hubert Martin; her infant daughter, Rhonda Edwards, her sister, Jean Martin Hardee;and her brothers, Johnny Martin and Boyd Martin. Faye was a devoted wife, mother, sister, MeMe, and friend whose life was defined by her love for others and her strong faith. She faithfully served her church community, teaching Children's Church at Juniper Bay Baptist Church for twelve years and leading Vacation Bible School at Oakey Swamp Baptist Church for five years. She found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed baking her well-loved lemon supreme cakes, tending to her flowers, and striking up conversations with just about anyone she met. Above all, she cherished every moment spent loving her children and grandchildren. A 1967 graduate of Socastee High School, Faye dedicated much of her life to caring for her family as a homemaker while also working in real estate management. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Pat R. Edwards; her son, Anthony Edwards (Tara); her daughter, Jennifer Butler (Chad); her brother, Hoyt Martin (Mary); her grandchildren, Makenzie Edwards (Clint), Reed Edwards (Paige), Cameron Crawford (Nolan), and Madilyn Butler; her great-granddaughter, Eleanor Edwards; and a great-grandson Edwards expected soon; and many other extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Sara Adams of Tidelands Health for the compassionate and excellent care she provided to Faye throughout her courageous battle with cancer. They also extend sincere appreciation to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, especially to her nurse, Paige Markus, the social worker, Justin Carter, and the entire team, for their kindness, support, and dedicated care. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Friday May 8th at Juniper Bay Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Ryan Edwards and Rev. Jonathan Vandermark. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Juniper Bay Baptist Church from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Friday.
