Ernest Randall "Randall" Chestnut, distinguished business leader, devoted family man, and former Chief Executive Officer of Crown Crafts, Inc. passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, vision, and service that touched countless lives throughout his career and community. Randall dedicated much of his professional life to the textile and consumer products industries. His leadership journey brought him to Crown Crafts, Inc. in 1995, where he would ultimately serve as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer. During one of the most challenging periods in the Company's history, Randall guided Crown Crafts through a remarkable transformation, helping reposition the organization into a successful and respected leader in infant and juvenile products. Known for his steady leadership, financial discipline, and unwavering commitment to excellence, Randall earned the respect of colleagues, employees, shareholders, and industry peers alike. Under his guidance, Crown Crafts emerged stronger, more focused, and financially secure, creating lasting value for generations to come. While his professional accomplishments were significant, those who knew Randall best will remember him for qualities that could not be measured on a balance sheet. He was a man of character, humility, and kindness who believed in treating others with respect and dignity. He was a mentor to many, offering wisdom, encouragement, and support throughout his life. Randall found great joy in his family, friendships, and communities he served. He understood that true success was not defined solely by business achievements, but by the relationships built and lives impacted along the way. Upon retirement his time was spent with best friends on the Blind River in Louisiana, and with new friends on Lake Murray in South Carolina. Saturdays in the fall were for cheering on his LSU Tigers. His legacy endures throughout the company he helped shape, the people he mentored, and the family he loved so deeply. He will be remembered as a visionary leader, a trusted friend, and a devoted family man whose life was marked by purpose, perseverance, and grace. . He was predeceased by his parents, Ruby Suggs Chestnut and William Parker Chestnut; his second wife, Lee W. Chestnut; his sister, Opaline Hucks; and his son William Richard Chestnut. Randall is survived by his first wife, and best friend, Monteen Lewis Chestnut; his daughter, Kimberly Chestnut Beerman and husband Curt; and his three grandchildren, Nolan, Bryce and Drew Beerman, who he loved watching play football and baseball; and his sister, Emma Lee Williams. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, June 11, 2026 at the Hillcrest Mausoleum Chapel, officiated by Pastor Brandon Blair. The family will receive friends after the committal service.
