Sara "Sally" Steele

Born on April 16, 1947, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Sally was the daughter of the late Lois and George Seaman. She lived a full and meaningful life, always with a warm smile and an ear to listen. Sally was known for her kindness, compassionate nature, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends. She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband, William Steele Jr., with whom she shared many cherished years of marriage. Sally was also preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Lori Leffler (Christopher), and two cherished grandsons, Zachary and Nathan Leffler. Sally is survived by her daughter, Robin Robinson (Dennis), and her beloved grandchildren: Dennis Robinson Jr. (Hannah), Jake Robinson, Bella Robinson, and Katelyn Leffler. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Connell (Jim), and her brother, Scott Seaman, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Sally will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Sally and her family moved to Binghamton, New York when she was 10. At the age of 16, she was elected Queen of the Triangle Girls. Later, Sally’s family moved to Wilmington, Delaware, where she graduated from Conrad High School in 1965. Sally spent many years selling real estate in Wilmington before retiring and moving to Lewes, DE where she enjoyed living near the beach, a place she loved to visit often. Later, she and her husband, Bill, moved to Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, where they could spend more time enjoying the beautiful weather. Sally loved to play cards and board games and was a huge Elvis Presley fan! Sally was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 178, and she could often be found on weekend mornings selling poppies to support her beloved organization. She was also a proud member of LaFemmes, an organization close to her heart. Sally will be remembered for her generous spirit, her commitment to her community, and her unwavering love for her family. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 23rd at Goldfinch Funeral Home, 11528 Hwy 17 Bypass, Murrells Inlet, SC with visitation 11:00 am and service to follow at 12:00 pm.
