William Gregory Kirby

William "Bill" Gregory Kirby, 72, of Conway, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026. Bill was born in Morgantown, West Virginia, the son of the late William Edward and Clara Mae Lopez Kirby. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and a dear friend to many. Those who knew Bill will remember him most for his kind heart, generous spirit, and willingness to help others. He had what could truly be described as a servant's heart, always ready to lend a hand. Bill spent his career in the automotive industry. He worked for many years as Parts Manager at Cale Yarborough Honda in Florence before moving to Grand Strand Nissan, where he eventually retired after more than 30 years in the industry. While Bill took great pride in his work, the moments he treasured most were the simple ones spent with the people and things he loved. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, golfing, traveling with his wife, and taking long walks with his beloved dog, Leo. He also enjoyed visiting with his neighbors along the way and never met a stranger. Bill's greatest joy was his family. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife of 30 years, Judy, and a caring father who was deeply loved by hisdaughters and their families. His memory will forever remain a part of their lives and of everyone who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his grandson, David Wenglinsky; sister-in-law, Doris Allen; and his beloved dog, Leo. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 30 years, Judy Allen Kirby; daughters, Tammy Ray and Nicole Rabon and her husband, Jack I. Rabon, Jr.; brother, James "Jay" Kirby; sister, Elizabeth "Liz" (Jimmy) Fisher; special nieces, Karen Merritt and Zade (Eddie) Graham, and their children, Audrey and Greyson; special cousins Bill (Donna) Ferrebee, Deb (Don) Hutchison, Rosemary Minni, and Joy (Greg) Hossman; and uncle, Benito Lopez. Bill leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, neighbors, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer here to share life's everyday moments, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who loved him forever. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00–3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
